Well, we are safely ensconced in our nice little studio appartment in Rapallo. It's in a fantastic situation. We don't have a water view, but when we go out the front door, the sea is right across the street. As you may know, there are lots of private beaches in Europe, so if you see deck chairs and umbrellas, you know you can't go in unless you pay. Took off to catch the 10am ferry to Portofino. Rounded the corner to see lots of grey haired people. It must have been senior citizens day. Perfect place to stay if you are going on a cruise or boarding a ferry we were up graded to a room with fantactic views of Genoa and the hardbour. The room had every thing you could wish for and the staff were very accomodating and helpful. The best room we have had on this trip so far.
