Perfect place to stay if you are going on a cruise or boarding a ferry we were up graded to a room with fantactic views of Genoa and the hardbour. The room had every thing you could wish for and the staff were very accomodating and helpful. The best room we have had on this trip so far.

We woke up this morning and were ready to head off to our cruise. Luckily, we decided to go try to get on it early, so we could settle in. Still we didn't leave the hotel until around noon. We had the directions and it looked like a 15 minute walk. It was hard for me to carry my bags, but we eventually got to where we thought we could get on the …

We decided to go for a walk as the manager of the park told us it is only 2km to the coast from the park we are staying at, sure too easy this walk is................if you take the right way. On hearing an announcement from a distance, and seeing a crowd on the platform we ran the last fifty metres and ...

Near Riva Trigoso I hit the coast again and slowly the clouds began to break up and some sun came through. I hadn't bothered to look at any maps, as I just had to head towards Genoa and beyond and I would be heading towards Abenga and Alassio.
That's the reason I ended up in Portofino. I wasn't really sure what was going on, but there was some sort of a road block where a policewoman was ...
... it didn't disappoint. A gelati by the water, a walk up more stairs to the monument and now sipping some local wines prior to jumping on the train shortly to make my trip back to my bag (hopefully it's there!) and onwards to Lucca where I will meet Tamara and navigate our way to the B&B. I think the body will enjoy a hot shower tonight :o) Enjoy the pictures...they just don't do this place justice, you really need to see it with your own ...
