Perfect place to stay if you are going on a cruise or boarding a ferry we were up graded to a room with fantactic views of Genoa and the hardbour. The room had every thing you could wish for and the staff were very accomodating and helpful. The best room we have had on this trip so far.

We woke up this morning and were ready to head off to our cruise. Luckily, we decided to go try to get on it early, so we could settle in. Still we didn't leave the hotel until around noon. We had the directions and it looked like a 15 minute walk. It was hard for me to carry my bags, but we eventually got to where we thought we could get on the …
... with houses and crops. At the top we hit the main street, glad to have made it (Abbie, who refused to eat back at Manarola, didn't feel good, think from lack of food!!). We sat on benches kindly provided for unfit climbers (had to fight other tourists for them) while we caught our breath and cooled slightly, then we followed the road downhill to the next bay and a small strip of shops/cafes. Luckily, the train was not too crowded (enabling Michael to relocate during the trip (to catch the views, he said! Not!). We left the station and, although our apartment was very close by, piled our luggage and Abbie and I in to a taxi. The others followed on foot, glad for the fresh air. Our apartment in Rapallo is GORGEOUS. We ...
... ship excursion. There were 6 buses that went from our cruise line and we also saw groups from several other cruise lines as well. This was one busy tourist area today. Now, Kier and I are not "group"" people. We don't particularly like to travel in large groups, we don't socialize in large groups. We like small groups of people that you can interact with. Maybe 8, maybe less. So from the get-go, this whole tour was ...
