    Toulon was unfortunately closed due to our arrival on a Sunday. It is mostly a holiday port with a lot of yachts and holiday homes.     ... mountain which featured in many of his landscape paintings. The soil in this area was a light terracotta colour and we drove past wineries, chateau's and olive trees.
