Une dernière fois le soleil nous accompagne et nous fait encore plus regetter de devoir quitter ce pays magnifique.
le bateau est là, tapis au fond du fjord et nous attend, le vilain, pour nous ramener au pays!

... birthday. Not in the restaurant ( which is great, but muy expensive.) I want to just wander around Paris, which I love so dearly, and then go to the top of the Tower. I could happily sit on a bench or at a cafe and drink kir au peche for a bit to celebrate. Or, I could eat macaroons, or go to my favorite little foie gras shop on the Ile St Louis - I will probably do all of that. One birthday that I spent in Paris involved drinking wine on a ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France lblack12... at Opera, and do a spot of shopping. Time for an iced coffee, and a seat, then back to the hotel to rest before dinner which was Japanese...yumm!! Just think...two Australian's in Paris, eating Japanese! We had endeavoured to pack a little bit and then head off to the 24 hour internet cafe so we could check emails etc, but ran out time. Do we really have to pack?! Neither of us really want to leave. I think we could easily spend a couple more months here...
Paris, France adamhills... cafe on my way out of the Louvre and paid yes the equivalent to $6 for a glass of coke. My drink was more than my baguette!! It wasn't listed on the menu. It is funny though... you can pay $6 for coke but $2 for a beer. I decided to walk to the Eiffel Tower after lunch. I could see it in the distance and it was a good chance to see the streets of Paris. I don't find the architecture much different from London; however, it is a dirty city. The ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France dfurler... cool to hear everyone talking French and to see all the French advertisements including this one that we saw everywhere that had half a business person and half that person being dressed as a rockstar. And then this other one with two dudes in 80s style basketball clothing. Haha, I do remember weird things as I asked Liz and Ania if they remembered seeing this (writing this on June 23). So we waited for our bags (which didnt go to oversized like in wpg after ...
Paris, France much-eh... was. It was really crowded and I was talking in English on my cell. I felt something in my purse. When I glanced down I didn't see anyone sticking their hand in my purse but the zippers were all open. Nothing was missing THANK GOD but like I couldn't figure out who had done it. I think I caught it in the nick of time. Seriously, I am never answering my phone in public again. Stupid ladrones. I guess, welcome home right?
Paris, France mebecherie... always now remember. We plan on going over there for another beer during this week. Besides the Square, we wanted to see Sainte-Chapelle, considered the most beautiful church in all of Paris. It was built in 1248 and has 15 50 foot stained glass windows as well as a Rose window. It was inspiring, gorgeous, tall, had ...
Ile de la Cite and Ile St-Louis, France yockeygal... back to the hotel, which once at were at refused to move until the next morning. Again with slightly better feet we headed to Musee d'Orsay and found that with better feet coped well with the slightly different feel, looking at scaled models of buildings and more sculptures and paintings. With focus on the French impressionists we found it easy to look at Matisse, Monet and Renoir and enjoyed picking out which paintings we thought we had seen before and were famous, we did pretty ...
Paris, France jomeyer... people that actually see the Mona Lisa go to art galleries on a regular basis? I have been to Paris, but I believe that I would need to live there to fully appreciate all of its intricacies. However, I would not consider living in Paris, and I do not think that I could survive around all those cigarettes. I am now leaving the congestion of Paris to an abundance of farmland and beyond. Hostel: Commines du Marais Train: Paris to Lausanne 7:45am - 11:37am
Paris, France ajpeelReturn to Paris with Luxury Normally, my returns are a little rough, but this one flowed very smoothly. I finally got it down-be very proud ;) Catching the train from Victoria around 12am, all of us were surprised to find that there were 2 extra carts added on just for us. We were given LUXURY, SINGLE, couchettes! We had our own bathrooms, large bed, fee snacks, water bottles, magazines, and toiletries. Not to mention we had an additional ...
