Just before returning to Paris, I googled for images of Paris in the Fall, - what comes out is always almost the sames - the lonely deserted park , trees all lined up in a straight row, with golden leaves strewn all over. Les Jardin des Tuileris in the Fall - that would be beautiful. How could I have missed Jardin des Tuileries in my previous …
We flew in from Geneva on Easyjet into Orly . Orly airport is smaller and a lot quieter and hence much easier to figure out than CDG. We decided to take the cab because the train to Holiday Inn Paris Auteil required at least two interchange . After the hike in Chamonix, my legs were killing me and I did not fancy having to lug the luggages …
Its the last day and we are loving Paris. It is definitely one of my favourite city. No, at this point - it is my favourite city.
First stop for the day is Musee D'orsay. I am not an arts buff nor do I know art. However, I do love the impressionistic art and I was told that the biggest collection is in Musee D'orsay. As usual the queue was …
Oo La La Paris - how can you go to Paris without visiting the Moulin rouge. Well , 25 years ago, we could only see the Moulin Rouge from the outside. Now , we could go but after seeing concerts, musicals from around the whole , that excitement or desire was no longer the same.

After a long bus ride we finally arrived in Paris. After eating dinner at the hotel we got right back on the bus to start our city tour. We drove around the city and our guide pointed out most of the major sites through the bus; mostly to give us an idea of where to go tomorrow. Then we stopped at the Eiffel tower and got a free elevator ride to …

husband and I stayed here for four nights in October last year when we celebrated our 20 years anniversary. We had taken a flight from Chamonix into Orly Airport and when I was looking at the metro directions , decided to take a cab. It was only about 30 Euros for that ride probably only 10 euro cheaper from the metro ride and worth it every penny when you have plenty of luggage.
The reception was really friendly and they helpful with bookings and even our shuttle to the airport even though we didnt book it through them. And we get 2 hours of complimentary wifi everynight.
The location is rather far from the city and even if you like the Paris nightlife, then this is not for you. The metro is just in front - so great and there have this wonderful bakery where we buy fresh baked croissants every morning. There's a market every Thursday or Wed ( I cant remember) and you get the feel of a French market just at your doorstep.
Value for money but would not recommend to those who wants the Parisien nightlife...
