      Finally some warm weather

... so lots of pastel colours. Made it feel even more welcoming and more like summer! Then we hit the beach. It was about 26 degrees today so quite nice although I was questioning the water temp. Luckily by the time we got in to the water and moved around it was warmish. A few of the people from my trip have never been to a beach like we were at before because of where they live. So that was my amusement for the day. Watching them try to get ...

      Between Worlds

After a sleepless but rich in movies flight, we arrived in Miami in the early morning (meaning, REALLY early. It was something like 4.30...insane).
Sine we had 13 hours to spend until our next flight, we took a car and decided to go to the Everglades. Upon our arrival, it still was **** early, so we got our first 1.5 really good hours of sleep (in the car) in 24 hours and then went on an airboat ride through the marshland. How awesome was that! We even ...

      Welcome to Miami

Miami was a bit of a let down for us having heard such good things about it. Perhaps on a boys/girls holiday we'd have been ...

      The bit of room

A travel blog entry by morgcar on May 21, 2012

This was the flight where I was seated next to two empty seats. It was heavenly. Unfortunetly my sleep deprived brain decided that I wasn't allowed to sleep on this flight, even though I could stretch out, because it was convinced that if I got any more sleep, I wouldn't be able to sleep that night when I arrived at ...

And we thought the WEATHER was crazy...

... 500 miles round trip in 24 hours?? Obviously we (Kathie, who comes up with all these bright ideas, and Jeff who for some reason goes along with them) weren't thinking. It was insane to make that long trip for just one night but we reminded ourselves that this is our "great adventure" so we kept going. AND we knew we had Don waiting at the other end for us. That was worth the ride! On our way down we started to pass signs ...
