    ... in today. After an hour lunch there, we pressed on in the heat, leaving by 4:30pm. It was hot enough to give me a headache. Luckily, thunder clouds started rumbling.     Thursday, July 30, 2015. PCT day 102. Miles 1647.7-1662 Sleeping in today, I didn't leave camp until 0800. I figured that it was all mostly downhill into town with a 6 mile road walk. Myself and JenRaffe were the last ones to leave camp. Cuban B, Wallaby, Wild, and Brotein had already left. The trail paralleled Grider Creek all the way down.     ... it, only a few curious hikers. We did recognize a few names. Of-course we signed it. Continuing on, we climbed up to Paradise Lake to have lunch there. We found JenRaffe here and had lunch with her here for about 1.5 hours. After lunch, the trail climbed steeply again before down climbing 4000 feet to the next campsite with water.     ... After awhile it was determined that his hydraulic motor wasn't working so they did what every good mechanic does....they gave it a whack with a wrench and it worked! While it worked for the moment he'll still need to get some service work done at some point.

    We'll get some rest this evening and drive through some more mountains tomorrow. It makes for great scenery but Stan hates driving this house on wheels though the winding steep roads! Can't say that I blame him ...

    ... was TSA prechecked last night, and made it the gate with about 45 minutes to spare. It made life really easy. Once on the plane, it was about a 45 minute flight. I was able to meet up with four other of my classmates and we stayed in a restaurant for three hours, as we waited for the shuttle at 3:00.
