... had told everyone to 'back up'. Interesting watching a traffic jammed New intersection 'back up'. Penn Station was huge and yet easy to navigate and Donna had her ticket in no time. She only had a few minutes to catch the train though, so we headed straight down to the platform and she was off! Sad to say goodbye.... We've had such a good time. After she left I went back to 34th Street and did a bit of shopping and then headed back to the hotel to get organised ...

... Today was Pride day, similar to our Mardi Gras but with added significance that same sex marriage in all of the states has now been passed by congress. Amazing parade over 3+ hours with some great sights. Great vibe with lots of who hoo's and yeah ha's. Lunch in Greenwich village at Le Brunch with a mostly Gay clientele where the party contined. Really great mood. We have now been here for the marathon and the ...

That evening I subjected the boys to their first ...

... thing our Brooklyn tour guide warned us about when shopping in NY. To divert her attention I took her into FAO Schwartz toy department store. I was here 29 years ago on business trying to sell them the best board game ever made. Obviously they didn't buy it. It was in here I managed to get Sioux a NY pen and it's genuine. I'm so smooth that I even impress myself sometimes. We had our last dinner in NY at Applejacks where the staff from the breakfast and dinner shifts all know our name ...

    Snow and John Lithgow

... played by the actor John Lithgow, who was a personal favourite of Bonnie's. When she was younger I had purchased her a 'tape' featuring John Lithgow singing a variety of children's songs, and it had become a long-standing favourite, with her still able to sing all the words all these years later, without too much thought. This was her chance to see her 'favourite' perform on Broadway. And perform he did. Whilst our seats were in the nose-bleed section ...
