Holiday Inn Express Waterford

After a couple of hectig months we sold our house,filled the POD (container) with all belongings we wanted to keep. Sold, donated and gave away the rest. The POD is in indefinite storage in Michigan giving us time to follow our dreams for a while. First on the agenda is a visit to my sister Yolanda and husband Laron in Washington DC.

I think I under-paid for the car.
I'm not entirely sure I was allowed to take it out of Michigan.

I am still at home. Only one more week. Being away from my home for three weeks requires a lot of preparation. I even know the movie that are going to have on the Flight. I am tired already!! Since I will be on a plane for almost 24 hours, I am collecting all the necessary stuff needed to be comfortable.

After saying our goodbyes to everyone at Cedarlane RV Park this morning, we're on the road to Michigan, in the home! After the wedding, I spent a few days down in Michigan. This was great for two main reasons. One, I got to spend time with my friend and two, I got to spend time away from my nephew. Now, I know I don't come out well from that statement but a break from, "play with me, play with me", was not an unwelcome thing.

Now, I'd love to say that we didn't just lie around the pool, watch lots of movies, eat too much and sleep most hours of the day. I'd love to say that......

Last night my replacement, David - a Floridian from the other side of the state - and I walked the beach for over an hour; We got so caught up in conversation that we went a little farther than we had planned and had to feel our way back in the dark! ... Alaska as a vacation destination and are planning fantastic trips this time of the year, what could I do but say yes. My plan has been to fit in another 3 months of work this year so I figured it was a great assignment to fulfill a couple of those months and to see the things I missed on the first trip. OOPS! Each dog that MIGHT run the race is required to have a veterinary check-up. This can be provided by the musher's own vet or by a race volunteer DVM.
