... other state. Pretty neat, right?

In addition to playing games, we have also been collecting dirt from every state that we stop in. We both had seen this cool thing on Pinterest in which you collect dirt from various states/places and then layer it in a mason jar, labeling it layer with the place. We had a great time in Champaign. I got to play pickleball twice and really enjoyed getting back on the court. I do miss playing! Our campground was very nice and the owners are very helpful. The campground is surrounded by cornfields with a small lake in the middle. I did fish one day but caught ZERO:((

The University of Illinois is located in Champaign. It is a very nice campus and the grass and plants were so green. ...

I have also been able to play some pickleball. I was having withdrawals and the people here are great in welcoming new players. You always meet the nicest people playing pickleball.

... Route 66 - Adams. No prize for guessing the street naming pattern. The route took me out on Ogden Avenue almost arrow straight before turning on to Joliet Road which wound it's way through Lyons, McCook and Indian Head Park before I took a short break. 66 has been completely replaced by I-55 for a short stretch before the old road is rejoined running into Joliet where the Blues Brothers greet you. The front of the Rialto Theater is ...
