    ... a wonderful time fitting bits and pieces to one of the boats and then putting lacquer onto its freshly sanded hull. The evening was finished off with a supplied meal and some wine - everyone was happy and a great time was had by all, and I'll be planning any future trips to San Francisco to include a Tuesday night with these lovely people - thank you particularly to John and John and Rachael!

    ... when we got to Fisherman's Wharf, I didn't expect it to have so much going on there. There were lots of buskers, musicians, shops and of course the water. We had a lot of fun seeing it all and then could hear some odd noises from the dock. When we investigated it was a huge colony of sea lions that had perched themselves up onto some floating platforms to bask in the afternoon sun. They were very amusing.
