Holiday Inn Express The Lakes (Las Vegas), Nv

We picked up the car hire yesterday and this morning started on our way from San Diego to Las Vegas. It took 5hours 20mins to get here. We're staying in a travelodge which is standard travelodge accomodation but we get a microwave and a fridge.

We LOVE Vegas so far.... Probably ...

... s of the strip. It is so amazing when its all lit up. I also managed to catch the Fountain water show at the Bellagio which was pretty impressive! I was pretty knackered by then and so headed back to the hostel. I was also sick of the crazy groups of lads out on whatever bender they were on. Although I have to admit I would have definitely enjoyed Vegas more if I'd been there for a crazy weekend with a group of mates.

off to lake erie tomorrow, cos that's what you do on holiday weekends here, you go up to the lake and then onto detroit next week at some point.....

I will go to the Apple Store upload this blog and the many, many pictures and then hopefully book my stay at South Point. After that I will explore the other casinos and meet Dad and Maurice at about 5pm.

Tomorrow is the start of ‘The Amazing Meeting (TAM)’. I am really excited and with a good nights sleep will enjoy it much much more.

Temperature when we left Disney land was just a balmy 68, but by the time we were heading through the desert, got to 104. They recommend you keep the air conditioning off to stop the cars overheating, so we obeyed the rules. It got quite warm in the car (without any hanky panky!).
