Monterrey, Mexico ojve... the girls went on several walks, tanned, and wrote messages in the sand to their families. Acapulco wasn´t what we expected, but we didn´t get to see all of it. Also in this dispatch we´d like to address some questions asked of us by Sean´s friend Lou, whose own e-letter provided inspiration for these dispatches. The questions are as follows, and each member will answer them personally: 1) What's been the biggest ...
Puebla, Mexico pueblateam... about the villages as it was actually really interesting and therefore not massively amusing! i shall write a separate entry all about them for those that would like to learn about Mayan religions and traditions! All you really need to know is that there was an annoying German couple, who stood in front of everyone, interrupted the tour guide, and took pictures when you weren't supposed to. And a young american couple who looked like brother and sister, were ...
San Cristobal De Las Casas, Mexico netballliz... Playa Carmen. We were droped off in the heart of tourist central, calle 5, with tons of fast food restruants, and anything any amercian could possibly want from home... all right on the beach strip of playa carmen. I hated it at first... after 2 more hours of walking around in the heat, sleep deprived, feeling worse than ever, we finally had to ask one of those informationbooths for help... all the places with a kitchen wanted at least $80/night and we just couldn{t afford that for ...
Playa Carmen, Mexico carrienica05... market. Here we got the full explanation and lots tasting of Mascala and Tequila, both made from different cactus plants. Mascala being the king of drinks in Mexico. We also purchased some of the local handy works, with Kez buying a dress and Nicole and top. Later that night after dinner we sat up on our hotels roof and annoyed the **** out of the oldies sleeping by playing a game which involved cards, tequila and ...
Puebla and Oaxaca, Mexico nicface... and we laughed a while. Monterrey's oldest neighborhood has very narrow stone streets and the majority of the houses there have been converted into different type of stores. These stores are there without modifying the original structure and façade of the buildings. Monterrey-San Luis Potosí, October 30-2006 We are again taking the autopista paying 33 and then 52 Mexican pesos. The day is long and the road quite monotonous. The good side of taking the autopista is ...
Mexico city, Mexico viajando... the pyramid was pretty sweet. But there was so many people there it kinda ruined the spirituality. Down the hill, to a nice cold beer, or 5, and a typical mexican meal. That night it was of to Samba, man can these latinos dance. Everyone was getting into the live band, swirling and twirling everywhere... stupid australian men non dancing culture. Not much report about today.
Tecamachalco., Mexico aussieesteban... Victor, Oswaldo and I sat around a table with microphones, next to the production desk, in a smallish studio with big glass windows and other studios around us. Luckily most of the show was taken up with talking to Oswaldo about i-to-i. Then ten minutes from the end, Eva introduced me and I read out my prepared words in spanish. Goodness knows how apalling my accent was or whether I inadvertantly swore. It was over in about 5 minutes and Eva and Victor talked ...
Monterrey, Mexico sheppard... no cds over $5 in these racks. and the Used Rock section, average price of cds, $6-7. so on the first day when we manage to buy 6cds under $30, and the 2nd day 8cds under$22, im quite a happy chappy =) and I found COG for $3. no joke, my favourite australian cd, almost ever, and its 3bucks. im in heaven seriously. i love LA. even if its only for the CDs.....! =) Saw Mandy Moore as well, Rusty was drooling his mouth off.
