Booked online from a local Starbucks. Dallas, the front desk guy, was VERY helpful. No problems, easy check in and he had great suggestions for where to eat. The HI Express was very clean, comfortable and as always a GREAT breakfast.

We left Longview about 11am. Arrived West Monroe about 2pm with a couple of stops for dog walks/potty breaks. Drove to the local Walmart to buy batteries for Donna's camera. Then we went to the Duck Commander Warehouse. Wow! At least 200 people in and around this place on the day after Christmas. The gift shop was open and we browsed but didn't buy …
... at the airport before the plane left at 3.30pm for Houston. I photographed Houston Airport from the magazine in the back pocket. It's huge. We landed at 4.15pm in Houston at Terminal B and my next plane to Washington DC was leaving from Terminal E at 5pm. Had beautiful nachos with cheese and tomatoes. When we got back to Byers, we continued talking till 1am. I videoed Linda June and Marie telling funny stories about their lives growing up. It was so much fun being ...
... It was near noon, closing time, and there wasn’t a crowd; a lady who was upset over some troubles chit-chatted with a worker and another family was leaving as we came in the door. Eventually one more family entered as we were finishing our breakfast and they were as wound up as I was to be there. Upon departing I took a few shots of the shop to show my family. They say cameras add ten pounds but I also think they add ten feet as ...
... Mom - we were chatting about our kid's intense medical history, etc. She was encouraged to create a brochure about her son's syndrome, medical history, etc. Believe me, there are times when it's much easier to hand a brochure instead of asking the medical professional, "do you have a week....?" She carries them with her in her bag. I think it's even a good idea to have everywhere we go!
