Booked online from a local Starbucks. Dallas, the front desk guy, was VERY helpful. No problems, easy check in and he had great suggestions for where to eat. The HI Express was very clean, comfortable and as always a GREAT breakfast.

We left Longview about 11am. Arrived West Monroe about 2pm with a couple of stops for dog walks/potty breaks. Drove to the local Walmart to buy batteries for Donna's camera. Then we went to the Duck Commander Warehouse. Wow! At least 200 people in and around this place on the day after Christmas. The gift shop was open and we browsed but didn't buy …

It's been made into a museum now, but closed today because it's Sunday. All shops and entertainment are closed on Sundays. Then they drove me to the airport and we said goodbye. ... It was near noon, closing time, and there wasn’t a crowd; a lady who was upset over some troubles chit-chatted with a worker and another family was leaving as we came in the door. Eventually one more family entered as we were finishing our breakfast and they were as wound up as I was to be there. Upon departing I took a few shots of the shop to show my family. They say cameras add ten pounds but I also think they add ten feet as ...

We took a late evening walk so Kallen could 'rock hunt'. He insisted on taking some rocks home!

We leave tomorrow for Lake Charles and board our train around 2pm. We'll be home on Tuesday! Kallen is getting homesick and thought we were going to be home tomorrow....poor guy!

Picked up a great idea today ...
