The desk ladies were a great help. Got me settled in great after a long hard day. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have dinner or gotten my clothes washed. Typical Holiday Inn Express. I love them for what they do consistently.

The rain started the day again. This time at 0500. When I normally get up and start to tear down. So everything was soaked, that wasn't inside. But packed it was so now I have to do a drying out time. Final notes on Sturgis and the Rally. Just like Daytona, too many people. Better places to ride, too many bikers. Spread out, just like Daytona. …

Our day finished with a wonderful vegetarian meal at the home of Ameya ( a good mate of Juris and Em) cooked by his delightful mum. What a great way to finish a great day.

We left Winkler around 11 am having been through two sets of snow flurries that morning. Nick had fallen in the parking lot and scratched his face in the gravel which necessitated a trip to the Urgent Care Center. No stitches thank goodness but not a pretty picture. With RV fixed we proceeded north to pick up Trans Canada 1 west - the Canada interstate. It was a long drive to Regina with big, big commercial farms not yet planted with ...

... gate, and the tram lines are down), but we get there with plenty of time to spare. Unfortunately, the flight is already oversold by 3 seats, so they are already trying to bribe passengers off the flight with flight vouchers. No luck for us on that one, so it's a long wait until our 7:55 pm flight.

Anyway, to make a very long story short, we made it, exhausted and buzzed, but it sure is good to be home.

... lesson. Paul was really into it so it was fun doing it with him. We then got the snowmobile out and went down to the lake to check out the ice fishing shacks. Owen took us into his one where we got the little fire going and bored the holes in the ice. It was nice and toasty in the shack. He has a fully built one so its an awesome setup, really cool piece of gear. Sarah, Ange, Owen and myself ice fished for a while but with no luck. It was still heaps of fun, we got a ...
