The desk ladies were a great help. Got me settled in great after a long hard day. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have dinner or gotten my clothes washed. Typical Holiday Inn Express. I love them for what they do consistently.

The rain started the day again. This time at 0500. When I normally get up and start to tear down. So everything was soaked, that wasn't inside. But packed it was so now I have to do a drying out time. Final notes on Sturgis and the Rally. Just like Daytona, too many people. Better places to ride, too many bikers. Spread out, just like Daytona. …

      ... never know.

My new friend Connie told me something beautiful. She said that of all the symbols of Canada, the Inukshuk was the one that made her most proud. She pointed out building an Inukshuk was a pure, selfless act. The only point of this symbol is to help someone else. Someone that you may never even know you helped. Someone who you want nothing from.

I think there is a lesson there for all of us.

... and 1st Nations University. Walking around the lake itself. we saw the War Memorial, many pieces of public art and the wonderful display of colour that the park is clothed in at this time of year.

My offer to cook tonight so we visited Ray at Butcher Boys, a carnivore's paradise. Chose stuffed breast of chicken, local greens and veg and off home with food and bottle of wine in hand to finish off a great day.

... Regina. Of course, these are the southern plains of Canada - feels strange to be "way up here" and be in the south! Crops in the fields are just now sprouting and due to the heavy rains, some fields hadn't started to green up yet. School is still in session here and the hostess at the visitor center told us that summer season doesn't start in Canada until July 1st and most of the summer activities and venues are ...

We had a nice morning at Johns place with a full on breakfast, yummy! Paul and Floyd had made a pile of snow last night with the skid stare so we could make a quinzhee today. The snow had set really hard so it was perfect for us to carve out the centre. They had put a drum in there so we didn't have to carve out so much but it was still a lot of digging. We had a great morning making it and chilling inside it. It was really strong and we were nicely sheltered inside, ...
