The desk ladies were a great help. Got me settled in great after a long hard day. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have dinner or gotten my clothes washed. Typical Holiday Inn Express. I love them for what they do consistently.

Jess and I had been talking about what our summer plans could be over text, and likely tossing panda and koalas back and forth! BAM! ... along. The weather was magic and 21 degrees. Kickoff was at 2.00 but we had to join the locals and enjoy the band and a beer outside the ground before the game. Green everywhere. Inside the stadium it was also green everywhere with lots of bands, flag bearers, fireworks, cheerleader displays - all the razzamatazz. In spite of not really knowing the game, the spectacle was enjoyable and exciting, the hot dogs were good, the beer was cold and all was well ...

    The Substance of Adventurous Travel

Adventurous travel is not easy. If it were, it wouldn't be an adventure, it would be a vacation. We'd like to believe that we are adventurers and problem solvers, not vacationers. What we seek in travel is to meet people from other cultures; to develop more understanding, patience, and compassion; to better appreciate the many choices we have had in our lives; and to continually seek ways to somehow give back. Along the way, we have the privilege of seeing sights ...

    The movie, the hunger game

A travel blog entry by lgsavar on Dec 16, 2013

Maren didn't really want to go out but Josephine persuaded her to go to the movie. We caught the bus to the Kahala mall and went to see the hunger games. We stopped in a couple of stores before catching the bus back to our hotel. Josephine stopped at a church where she liked to watch the birds and Maren and I went on to rycroft street where our hotel is ...
