      San Antonio part 2: Today I wandered off the key tourist spots, but still along San Antonio's Riverwalk.
      On the way to a Mexican hot spot, I stopped at the Spanish Governor's Palace built in the Adobe style of architecture. Then, I found a charity second hand shop. In case, I run out of proper clothes, there I find everything I need for about 3.99 USD a piece. Lunch has happend at a Mexican restaurant (see separate entry on food).

      For breakfast at the motel I could select from donuts, muffins, waffels, and
      bananas. Of course, no low carb options! However, the waffels were good as you
      could make them yourself (see photo).

      Now for lunch and dinner you can choose between Mexican or Texas BBQ. Mexican
      basically means tacos or enchiladas, both always served with rice and black
      beans. BBQ options are steak or ribs.

      ... in the hot, dry summers that concrete slabs and the foundations of homes can be broken. How do I know that piece of Texas info? I'll come back to that shortly.

      ... building and the room is so nice, the old claw foot bath (like my reproduction one at home) is in the bedroom and the whole room is furnished with pretty antiques. Went down to the bar & wished we hadn't had a burger as they did food, never mind just a glass of wine and a beer instead. Went to bed at 10 but as usual Peter found a friend to debate global warming with ( the guy said it was rubbish) and stayed behind till 11.30 - glad I missed that ...
