    ... to the locals. We spoke at great length with the staff about our journey and we have also decided to head down to the same place for breakfast tomorrow too.

    In order to get a bit of an easier drive tomorrow we have booked a hotel in Amarillo (Texas) next to a Steak Ranch which is supposed to be quite famous for being on the route. Tomorrow should be less driving then which I (Stoo) am looking forward to. Lots of pictures for today. Enjoy!

The newer bridge sits next to the previous bridge which has been turned into a tribute to Cyrus Avery, the man who lobbied for the creation of Route 66 and ensured that it would pass through his home city.     Left home about 5:45. Flight from OKC at 9:15. Arrived O'Hare 11:15. The international terminal is a totally different building so we had to go out of security, ride a tram to the international terminal and go back through security so that took awhile.
