... hadn’t done our homework ahead of time.

We finally got desperate, it was dark, and settled at Longleaf RV Park in Defuniak Springs, FL. What a mistake! This place is unkempt, dirty, and expensive---$30! When we awoke the next morning we ...

North Port, Florida, United States tarchibaldI've been visiting Cape Coral, Fl for what seems like my whole life. My son lives down there now and he's 22, so I frequently visit him and from now on I will stay at the Hampton Inn. I used to stay at the Casa Loma Motel, but after my last visit I realized that the place is going downhill. The old manager, Ray, was great, but there's a new manager who I'm not familiar with ...

Sometimes this means leaving out some of the emotions and revelations on a personal level and sometimes it means remembering to stop and take a picture of what I am experiencing rather than just experiencing it. Many a shot ...
Nokomis, Florida, United States jodieandandyBack to reality straight away......right from being paranoid about having whatever this Swine flu is after seeing so many of the airport staff at Bogota with masks on, we arrived into Miami airport to huge queues, to rules and regulations, to ridiculous materialism (I saw the first Louis Vuitton handbags I had seen in months), annoying Americans, ultimately STRESS. But what will I enjoy about being back in so called ...
Venice, Florida, United States lallie... will still have something to look for. Even more food - on a trip to the beach we stopped for lunch and had some Lousianna oysters. Raw oysters on the Gulf Coast are properly served with saltine crackers, horseradish, cocktail sauce and Tabasco. Unfortunately this is not the case in most other places. Sad but true. There should be a law against serving them any other way.
Port Charlotte, Florida, United States rjdempWell, travel preparations are well underway with about 22 days until departure. We are slightly overwhelmed by the amount of stuff to think about going so far from home. The girls arrangements, clothes, packing, the pets, passports, visa's... Although it doesn't dampen the excitement it does dull the brain. All in all we expect it to be a great trip.
Fort Myers, Florida, United States dadoftwogirls... r's and every adjective is "wicked." But more importantly, she's an art major. I'd invited a bit of a specialist for the evening. Charity's date was an international business major, but Mae was a "hired goon" and certain to paint me a nice portrait. MODERN ODDYSEUS' DATING ADVICE # 3 - When you have a talented date, try to get them to make you something that's valuable and that you need (such as a pretty wall decoration). Mae accepted my offer ...
