          The proximity yo the Punta Gorda airport made this a terrific place to stay? Hotel was VERY clean and the continental breakfast was good.

          ... condusive to longevity. After lunch, Mike and I went over to the Florida State HOG, Harley Owner Group, Ralley and Gail, his lady went off to work. It was fun attending the shindig again. The last one I attended was up in Minnesota and I won the longest ride trophy. I think I rode my bike 1600 miles to go to the ralley.

          ... continued.
          In the middle of the night last night , G sits bolt upright in bed turns on the light , saying something has dripped on him, then fell on him!!! I told him he was dreaming, and go back to sleep. Just as he was heading out the door to golf , there sitting on the kitchen floor was the culprit - a frog!!! .........and yes G had felt something solid land on him, and he had not been dreaming ...

          ... The number of Alligators we saw was amazing, from 8 inches long to 12 feet long. I stopped counting them when I hit 60! It was very cool. There are many boardwalks that allow you to really get close up views of the gators, plus all of species fish and the incredible diving birds, the Anhinga and Cormorant. So fun to watch. Our second night was spent farther up in the park at Lone Pine Key. Completely different terrain and vegetation, but equally beautiful. The birdlife ...

          ... walls and gardens, with the trees on either side of the road creating a canopy to drive through, meeting in the middle of the narrow road. Homes, belonging to some wealthy well known celebrities - Oprah and the ex President Bush family to name only 2.

          Lovely Inter coastal waterway Tiki bars (Island style), nestled between the water and mangroves, made for pleasant stops along the way (to cool the hot bodies) ...
