    ... looking at my phone when it happened! When we got almost to St. Louis, we got off the highway to go to a place called Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park. I read this was the best spot to get a picture of the Arch and the St. Louis skyline. When we got there we had the place to ourselves so we got some great photos!     Today another great morning. Had breakfast at the lodge and were on the road by 8. We wanted to go to Bo's Hollow today first and then Akers 2 car ferry because Bo's was only 3 miles from the lodge. Bo's did not open until 10 so we ran over to Akers car ferry first and then back tracked to Bo's. The ferry had a toll of $4 and I was the only one that put my car on.     ... across the river... over the battle of the Bankers... as usual per war... and just north of this area is where the Ohio river converges with the old Miss.

    There is a small public park here ... though you might not know it.. as there is some kind of incredible influx of barge activity ... like a giant staging area of Massive Tonka Toys that float....

    ... on the water. The sails of the opera house are the focal point. Scenes are projected onto the sails and it's a nightly occurrence for 2 weeks. I don't have an easy way when I don't have wifi to transfer photos from my phone to the iPad because bluetoothing doesn't work. So photos of these things would bring some context.
