    St. Charles is also on the Katy trail which is a bike/hiking trail that runs across Missouri from near the Mississippi, then along the Missouri river and ends about 200 miles west of St. Charles. I will be traveling close to it for the next couple of days and I was able to ride a few miles of it today.

    We leave Joplin early in the morning to get started on a 300 mile drive to St Louis.

    But first we go to Carthage. What is in Carthage you ask? Well a blog that I read mentions that this is the town that Hill Valley was based on in Back to the Future so of course we go.     ... seats. 100s of people don't even get tickets, they head down to the stadium and spend the game in the huge complex next door, a hollowed out arena with tonnes of bars and huge screens everywhere and half arsedly watch the game while getting drunk. After about 5 innings this was where we ended up, due mainly to the relentless sun melting j into a puddle in the middle of the left field bleechers.

    ... Excuse me, which was is the beach?

    Anyhow this morning I completed my badging application and were going to run errands and have lunch before we come back to work the outbound flight. Tonight I overnight in Seattle and have dinner planned with my parents and the Hugo’s so I’m pretty excited about this. Then early tomorrow I fly back to San Diego to watch our Seahawks playoffs game! Can’t wait!
