Due to heavy rains, the Illinois was swollen with lots of debris to avoid as we traveled this stretch. Boats going south were stacking up in marinas above St. Louis waiting for the water levels to drop and dock space to become available down river. Because of this late fall flooding, we made sure that dock space was awaiting us as we planned to arrive at our home marina in Grafton.
