... lions etc. The fact the lions stay on their rocks rather than eating the gazelles running about nearby suggests it isn't open land at all - just cleverly constructed hidden enclosures, but still it is nice to see. More exciting are the Dinosaur ride (simulator ride going back in time) and Everest ( a roller coaster where you go backwards to avoid the Yeti), Obviously when I referred to the rides being loosely connected to animals, I meant very loose indeed. ...

When we were there one morning we saw at the dock about 30 manatees at one time. The video above (click on it) and pictures below show a lot of action (if you can call any movement of a manatee action). We enjoyed our stay.

Also, we saw a launch of a Space X craft which was carrying a satellite into orbit from Cape Canaveral. Since it was so far away the pictures did not come out very good but it looked better to the naked eye.

... don't actually go swimming with monkeys as that would be stupid, instead there is a huge Island that they live on surrounded by a river which you swim around to get a good look at them as they pose and swing around. We then carried around the winding river until we reached a cave filled with water, once inside there was a huge glass window from which you can see the otters. These cheeky critters were happily going about their business as me, Kirsty and a ...

... a long day of flights all by my lonesome, having correctly assumed in advance that one week of Happy Magical Consumerism, “in stunning 3D”, would be enough for me. Of course, the rest of the gang were having none of that, and exhibited far greater Disneydurance than me, putting in a full additional week, only just on their way back today to the burgeoning mosquito population and tentative Rider discussions that are Saskatchewan in May.

      And so ends ...
