... but the days warm up sufficiently. Since our next destination is the Florida Panhandle region, we decide to slow down our northern momentum a bit and choose to stay at this site for two weeks enjoying and sharing our explorations on the blog.

Our thoughts are with all of you in the very chilly Northeast suffering through winter storms Neptune and Octavia. Keep Warm Out There!

... no one else at our gate! We quickly realized that the gate had been changed and was now on the other end of the terminal, luckily we had enough time to spare and made it to the gate as the boarding began. That was enough excitement for one day! The rest of the travel was uneventful. We were so happy to arrive at the beautiful Boardwalk resort! We unpacked the grocery order, the kids went to the pool while Rob and I sorted ...

This did mean that the park was quite empty, so we didn't have to queue for long on any of the rides, but after the water rides (where you get absolutely drenched!) we didn't dry off all day. I was suffering the effects of drinking quite a lot of water through the day at just the wrong time: we had to queue for a while for the log flume, then I held up the ride when I couldn't get in ...

When we were there one morning we saw at the dock about 30 manatees at one time. The video above (click on it) and pictures below show a lot of action (if you can call any movement of a manatee action). We enjoyed our stay.

Also, we saw a launch of a Space X craft which was carrying a satellite into orbit from Cape Canaveral. Since it was so far away the pictures did not come out very good but it looked better to the naked eye.
