... and the second pick was selected by a majority but it was close. I bought the Jason Isbell cd for us. Picked up a few souvenirs as well. Good fun....except I feel I should pick up a t-shirt but I can't decide which one. Oh no !!! A decision!! Grabbed a quick beer at the usual place on the way back to the motel.
Given it's my last nIght in Austin I'm going out tonight to enjoy some live music. ...
Up early and then southbound towards Austin, TX, the city that Holly was most excited about seeing on our trip. Let the record show that the central TX highway system is "under construction", as we encountered 100+ miles of MAJOR roadwork. Fortunately this didn't affect traffic as we made it almost into the Austin City Limits before traffic suddenly came to a complete stop. Maybe 1/2 mile ahead, we could see a bridge and a bunch of ...
... There wasn't much action then, but shortly after feeding time in the AM and afternoon, it apparently gets pretty lively. We will see.
The campground has about forty sites, which are paved and offer water and electricity. I took on about fifty gallons of the liquid gold and then did up the hose and stowed it. It's still freezing at night, so this is what works best for us. We'll let the pump do the job for us. It's just above ...
... ve come back early (its about 4pm) and I'm going to nap before heading out tonight.
Two highlights of the day so far, the cowboy boot shop - oh my! Shame that the ones I like (inlaid with swarskovski crystals) are $1500. Last but not least is coming back to my room and reading through emails - thanks for your lovely words, stuff like that keeps me going! ...
