Regardless of that very little setback they managed to open up their 1st shop during the 12 months of 1966 on the 15 of March. Which was the pretty initially Vans Shoe store and it had been found on 704 east Broadway in Anaheim, California. At this point they only supplied ...

After we got back to Curry Village, we jumped in the car for our drive to San Francisco. The drive was mostly uneventful and the traffics flowed pretty well, however we probably had the most "grip the seats" ride as we descended through the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas near Groveland along what is referred to as New Priest Grade, with over 100 curves and hairpins and ...

... It was really pretty to see that area while the sun was coming up though, the bay bridge looked particularly lovely with it's lights twinkling in the dawn mist. Once I met up with the tour they put us on a shuttle bus and took us over the bay bridge to the Amtrak station for our three hour journey to meet up with the next tour guide. hi all,

Made it to San Francisco yesterday evening. Started in cold overcast skies and toured Avenue Of The Giants (Redwoods). ... visiting San Francisco and we loved it. We did the tourist boat tour of San Francisco Bay, out to the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz. We walked up the hills to Lombard Drive....the crazy 1 mile serpentine, Chinatown, Russian Hill, and Nob Hill. Then, back down to Pier 39 for dinner.

      Off to Napa Valley tomorrow.
