      Yesterday, I tried to fix my stay at a guest ranch in the Texas Hill Country. However, the ranch of my choice is closed for a week due to a family wedding. I have checked for alternatives, but I either do not like the ranch or it is way too expensive. Therefore, I will jump on a horse in New Mexico or Arizona. Making loud noises, putting the light on, snorring crazy, clogging the toilet, jumping around in the upper bunk, very limited respect. Under these circumstances I had my difficulties catching sleep. Am I getting too old for a dorm?

For those of you who have been enjoying the photos as well most of them have been taken on the i-pad. I guess having taken photos for years can help with composition etc, but really I can't recommend the i-pad enough as a travelling companion for any would be jet setter. It's the size and weight of a small book. Sure I laugh at all ...

      A few I recall that provoked much amusement were:
      kuku = brother in Swahili, but poo in Hebrew
      dada = sister in Swahili, father in english
      mia = me in Swahili
      Amidst much laughter and teasing, we finally made it to their house around midnight. It was lovely to see how easily they all connected with each other despite the language issues.
      Saturday was a quiet start, followed by a ...
