Silverton is a great little town nestled in the Rockies but at something like 2800 metres above sea level, many of us were suffering with a bit of altitude sickness overnight - two of our party feeling quite ill. ... miles to a town called Simla. The next town called Limon was pretty big on the map and it was about 23 miles from Simla. I was feelin good so I put my head down and started riding. It was 7:30 when I rode onto Limon and it had just gotten dark. Surprisingly I wasn't very tired but I was ready to call it a day for sure. Tomorrow I plan to ride about 75 miles to a town called Brush. Today I rode 120 miles.
We said good bye to this town and headed on over to Abilene, Corky’s stomping grounds.
