      Silverton is a great little town nestled in the Rockies but at something like 2800 metres above sea level, many of us were suffering with a bit of altitude sickness overnight - two of our party feeling quite ill. Most of us couldn't climb the two flights of steps to our hotel bedroom without gasping for air.

      Yesterday when we were setting up our motorhomes at the campground in Lawrence, KS, we were unable to get our rig leveled correctly. The site we were on was so uneven, that our automatic jacks had the front tires lifted off of the ground. The pictures show what we had to do.

      ... for about 15 minutes before continuing on. We had planned to spend the night in Burlington, CO, but the landscape was more of the same.       ... do you need to go, we tell him we are looking for the tour company and he tells us its in town and we have gone too far, he says wait here and goes and puts on a shirt, he says for a small fee he will take us back into the town, we gladly jump into the car, and head back into town.       ... o)) The town didn't seem to have to many diners that served breakfast so we stopped at Burger King but they had a really good breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, pancakes and bread. :) Eventually our trip took us to the town of Centennial just by Denver, Colorado.
