Day 1 in Chicago, and we have gotten off to a flyer.

After watching the Chicago Blackhawks winning game one of the Stanley Cup finals just after arriving in Chicago, we headed off to bed before waking up at 3am thinking we'd slept in or something. Janene decided to send the kids a message or two on Viber before calling them and we chatted for a couple of hours before going back to sleep again at about 5am for another couple hours of sleep.

So, I'm home. Mom and dad picked me up at the airport, took me out to dinner, and I promptly collapsed on the bed. No time to unpack, no time to check if my souvenirs made it in one piece, no time for internet. I'm just tired. But I'm home. And I love to travel. ... moms on TV. Got to pack my bag early tomorrow so better get to bed! Time went so quickly here in Chicago - can't believe I'm leaving tomorrow! Will miss the Windy City but I think three nights here was enough- I saw most of the attractions that were here so I would have probably been bored if I stayed longer! If I had a car it might have been worth staying on cause I would have been able to drive around to different parts of the state as well. Oh well, I'm sure I'll be back again one day! ...

... we had to, to get to the pizzeria. The place we went to was called Lou Malnati's. We had a "20min wait" so we went next door to a place called The Barn & Co. to get a drink while waiting for our table. They served beer in mason jars with handles. I was in love. I ordered a Boulevard Wheat and Greg ordered some kind of IPA. Shortly after getting our drinks we got called for our table next door. We waited 10 minutes for the pizza. It was worth the ...
