... Inn proved to be really good with Barons Bar serving good drinks, good food and nice staff who kept us happy.

James met with a local, Kenneth, who gave him a game of pool and then James beat me in the last game of the evening.

North Carolina has a real country feel to it, they were playing country music in the bar and the accent is a proper southern drawl.

... get number plates put back on. Spring Lake was a beautiful serene park. Just what was needed after a slightly stressful day. We set up camp and watched the deer and squirrels foraging for food and then set off for an evening stroll. Loved the campground which was in such a natural state with limited services. ... we finally made it. It was a cute little campground with some rv's and wooden cabins but no one else camping. This may have been a good indicator it wasn't the best idea. First job was to unpack the trailer and set up tents. It was surprisingly easy and luckily we were in 4 man tents sharing between two people. So they were fairly spacious.
