... 2014 four endangered species Kemp Ridley turtles were rescued in the cold beach & ocean in Boston. They were taken to South Carolina Aquarium Sea Turtle Rescue Program. The caretakers had their own names for them....Scabby, Holey, Squishy and Scales (named) for the injuries they had. After six months of rehabilitation they were released back to the ocean at Canaveral National Seashore and we were part of it.

This drive was long and straight. Mile after Mile of wooded hills and valleys as we passed through Virginia and North Carolina. Passing umpteen civil war battlefields, Richmond the confederate capital and the Stonewall Jackson memorial gave us a real sense of history.
