      Wintrop & Twisp are part of the Washington Cascade Loop. The loop goes from the Snohomish River Valley to Stevens Pass Greeway to Leavenworth Foothills to Columbia River Valley to Lake Chelan Valley to The Methow (which is where Twisp/Winthrop are) to North Cascades to Skagit Valley & Fidalgo Island to Whidbey Scenic Isle Way.

      ... start all at once and make a beeline for the same buoy. I am so glad they changed the swim start. It made it much easier to find my rhythm, and I never felt like I was being swum over by a bunch of people. In fact, I found that I was having to swim around a lot of people.
