    Didn't have far to go from Knoxville to visit overnight with our South FL Corvette friends transplanted to TN. Dave and Linda took us on a trip thru the back roads thru the Cherohala Skyway and stopping at the Bald River Falls which was a beautiful area. We drove thru a lot of small towns Athens and Etowah and then a delicious meal at a local diner. It was good to see their piece of quiet paradise!!

    ... own chariot these days. I must say it is a very nice car especially compared to some of the beaters they loan you at the marinas. Can you believe this car doesn't even need a key for the ignition! What will they think of next? My own car is ten years old and does not even have a connection for an IPOD so I am not used to such new fangled technology.     ... Plus it gave us practice finding our way when we get lost. We cruised by the Watt's Bar reactors. They are an impressive sight.

    Probably the highlight of my day was seeing a couple of Sandhill Cranes tarrying on an island in the Hiwassee Wildlife Sanctuary.
