Clearfield was very hilly. My longest trip...more than 5 hours of driving through Pennsylvania. Beautiful country, but I was bushed. Took a picture of my Woodstock earring. How funny I had chosen it for the trip. Fell asleep reading. Woke at midnight and feasted on blueberry cheesecake. My drive home will be 6 hours. What was I thinking?
... no particular reason other than it is about half way between Niagara and Williamsburg where we want to be tomorrow..
Found a a really nice place for a drink and dinner called the Treasure Lake Ski Lodge - friendly locals and staff. They don't ski there any more so not sure why the name remains bit still a cool place.
So here ends our day - goodnight.
... visitor centre. It turned out that, unfortunately, Triposo had been feeling ill that day and was talking s*** when he told us about the festival. Hungry we took off for Plattsburgh. In Phyllisburgh we found a Mcdonalds that had $1 any size drinks and a Family Dollar with cheap lollies so we stocked up on sugar and headed to our next home on the road. ... Nelson on a Saturday night and stayed at a hotel right in the middle of town. After checking in, we were entertained by the high school graduate parade and associated pageantry. Great room and snacks...chocolate chip cookies freshly baked and pink lemonade! Pillows were Soft, Firm and Extra Firm. Bed was great and there was even a nice hill view from the window. I loved having a dolly to shlep my stuff! Friendly staff. BACON for breakfast! Yipppeeeeee!
