Packing 95% complete...I am sure some last minute shuffling will be done in the early morning hours to make sure we all come in under the 50 lbs weight limit per bag. You would think we were preparing for the weigh-in of a championship prize fight. All day we have been putting up with two dogs that cannot stand when suitcases come out...our big black lab is taking it in stride with her biggest concern being are you sure there is ...

... drinking 'Moose Drool Amber Ale' in the sun with our books. We also took advantage of a wine tasting across the road at a local winery, pretending to know the difference between a shiraz and merlot in our grubby hiking clothes.
Our next stop was the Grand Canyon. After driving through the sunrise with great tunes and Pringles, we made it into the park and were treated with view of the Grandest of all Canyons. Completely filled with ...

It was a fun day. Well, for the most part, Mike took a backwards header over a large boulder, tore up his knee ...

Next blogs: coming soon! (hopefully tomorrow!) on:
    * What else I did in Phoenix and the state of Arizona! :)
    * KeyArena, Seattle is the venue, Storm and the defending champions Minnesota were the teams!
It did not disappoint! (& I had a fan-girl-moment and met soccer superstar Megan Rapinoe who was, quite simply, charming! :) but also,as cliche as it sounds, a great ambassador for womens sport and soccer)

    Till next time! :)

We drove to Phoenix mid-day and checked into the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in the early afternoon. We went to Scottsdale Fashion Square to do some errands. I had a 4:00 PM reservation for the Chihuly exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens. It was a stunning display of glass sculptures among the desert plants. We had a nice light dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn restaurant next door. The hotel we stayed in worked out well. We will stay there the night we return from ...
