... I wish we could’ve, but we had a dinner date at my Aunt and Uncle’s farm in Union Center, SD that very evening. More on that later. Prior to stopping in Fishbreath, we passed through Bell Fouche, SD, where we had to wait for a mammoth, and I mean GIGANTUAN “something or other “, which I think was a windmill blade, on a extra-long semi-trailer ...
Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, United States mountaingirlz... This has been a really good week and we are all still talking about the wolves and the research books and homework we get/want to do now. I want to read the book I purchased, and I want to re-read the one that is fictional about the decreasing numbers of wolves in yellowstone. So it looks like I will have some reading to do. All in all the day was ok, nothing majorly good or bad but ok. I keep thinking about Yellowstone and the great time ...
Baxter, Minnesota, United States kayaker902... Gardiner Montana at the north entrance to Yellowstone. Tomorrow night will be the last night until Thursday that I will have Internet access as Internet access is banned/prohibited in any of the historic buildings in Yellowstone. (Something to do with altering the historical significance of the lodges. So there will be many posts probably getting posted sometime Thursday night or Friday ...
Staples, Minnesota, United States kayaker902... try to get at least one in each state we travel to as well as the provinces in Canada, I have even found them in the Bahama's. Anyhow, the allergies are kicking back up again, so much for the temporary reprieve. I did manage to finish reading my book on the Chilkoot trail, which I might add was a very insightful book. We stopped at one of the caches which was in New Salem, ND for Sue the largest Holstein cow. Caches ...
Baxter, Minnesota, United States kayaker902we got lucky with the wind again, today. a brisk tailwind practically blew us to the next town, and since we had a short mileage day, we made it to our church in just over three hours in the saddle. the ride was a bit hairy at times. some folks had suggested an alternate route to cut on mileage, and it took us down a somewhat busy and really poorly maintained road. julie likened it to a video game because you had ...
Little falls, Minnesota, United States stevevls... I passed though Christine ND, so seeing as I've got a town called Tupper on my must see list For a period of time I'm going to be somewhere in between my first and last names. Made it to Brainerd MN at midnight stopped at a Super 8. Went in to ask and they wanted $83 bucks, but the guy on front desk was really sweet and gave me the corporate rate.$63.:) then stayed up till 4 am doing laundry.

Everyone stands in the middle of a circle and places their turtle on the line, they splash them with water and cheer until one of the turtles makes it past the outer circle. We had a quick look around the pioneer village, but we didn't have much time there. American fact: A&W isn't just a pop company, it's a burger restaurant chain.
Breezy Point, Minnesota, United States andrew_zerinah... front, they were too far away to get a picture though. l learnt a valuable lesson, don't order Lemon, Lime & Bitters in America, they don't know what it is. They brought me a pink drink with a piece of lemon and a piece of lime in it, I'm not sure what it was, maybe pink grapefruit, but it wasn't nice. Our meals on the other hand, were good and very big.
Breezy Point, Minnesota, United States andrew_zerinah... several bunnies, one squirrel. Wildlife photographed: one chipmunk. YEAH! For dinner we BBQed the fish that had been caught, not really sure that I like fresh water fish. After dinner Andrew and I checked out at the real estate guide, that are some great bargains around here, we not sure why we bought a house in Australia, a nice wooden house by the lake here would be lovely.
Breezy Point, Minnesota, United States andrew_zerinah... back below the treeline, but Andrew wouldn't have it. After a few minutes of waiting and talking, I decided to push on a actually see the damn peak. It hurts to say this stuff by the way. You want to be the kind of person who is cool under fire. When comes down to the line you have at well of inner courage that pushs you on. Maybe Andrew is that kind of person. Indefatigible. And maybe in some other scenario, I could be closer to that kind of person. That day was beaten and I ...
