We carried on thru Wisconsin but on the spur of a moment we decided to make a little detour north, to the Smoky Hills. Michelle found a State Forrest that sounded interesting. This whole area is covered with many Lakes large and small, but one hardly travels for a couple of miles without seeing water. We covered quit a few miles again in the last week. The weather has been mostly cool except for one night when it was so hot that we went out the next morning and bought a fan. Since then it has turned to be very cold, around 15 deg. or less at night, so Wal- Mart made a sale again, one blanket to add to the one we brought along from SA. After all it is supposed to be summer.

Dasher is dying to get at those squirrels! We had to lock her in to stop her from trying to chase them.
Most of the campers have gone home and we have the pool to ourselves! We are taking a pool day. No photos of this will be posted so that you don't have to go have your brains scrubbed or your eyes burned out of your head from having to see me in a bathing suit. ...
... from there, the go-karts, roller coasters, mini golf, etc... Now the entire town is a theme park. It's like living in Disneyland with camp grounds.
The dogs are in heaven because there are lots of squirrels. Dash REALLY wants to catch one!
Oh yea, did I tell you about the trains?? Uh huh, every few hours a train goes right next to our camp. It shakes the whole coach. The have all been over 125 cars long. Yay! Hopefully they will stop running at ...
... was, in fact, located in Wausau. So we reversed path again and headed back to Wausau, found our park and got settled in.
The campground area was not officially open yet as they had multiple water line breaks due to their bad winter (sub-ground freezing down to 12'), but as long as we didn't need water, we were welcome to stay. So we did.
