Day 5 ........We stayed in West Yellowstone, MT last night, which is right at the west entrance to Yellowstone. We headed back into Yellowstone Park and about 6 miles in the traffic started to back up. We had a herd of buffalo walking right down both lanes and they would not move for cars. They were heading down the road to a meadow area and if a car got too close the bulls would turn toward the cars and let everyone know who was in charge.

... Capital. We drove through the breadbasket of Montana. It is the old Blackfeet Territory. It was spectacular. It was also part of the Lewis and Clark Trail. It was well worth the drive on the backroads to see the local communities. As we got closer to dark, we decided to head to Great Falls, MT for the night. We treated ourselves to McD.
