After our bike-ride we got on the road at around 11:30. It was another beautiful day, few clouds and around 85F. A few miles up the road we crossed small inlet with ferry. We continue on the A1A coastal road which follows the narrow peninsula's that dot big stretches of the Atlantic coast. They are so narrow that often you see the ocean on both sides. Naturally" the rich and ...
Daytona Beach, Florida, United States michellendave... We discovered we liked the taste and texture best when frozen raw, defrosted slowly and cooked however one wants. The myth that freezing bluefish yelds poor results, is busted when it comes to the blues down here. But...maybe it has to do with the freshness and what they have been eating in Florida. The flesh is gorgeous and firm and not fishy....maybe they are eating whiting!!

A few pictures from today's activities, tomorrow, we move away from the coast as we start the trip back to Atlanta and the end of the journey for this year, but for just one more night we will go to sleep to the sound of the Ocean.

As much of yesterday was a driving day, not really much to report, we only have a few pictures from along the way. Today we are off to Daytona International Speedway, which is the Sister track of Talladega Superspeedway. Hopefully a chance to drive along the beach.

... up and put up with the decor that has not been updated, or the carpet and soft furnishing replaced since the 1970's. Daytona Beach is where college students head for Spring Break so mostly they would be too drunk to notice the disrepair of the building. The beach was pretty kitchy with any vehicle being allowed to drive right on the beach. It was like redneck paradise!! The best thing about Daytona Beach. The dolphins we saw from our front window.
Sanford, Florida, United States cyo... Not to mention our bartender was from Jamaica, and pretty entertaining all on his own.
We finally headed out of Georgia, around 2PM, and we we're headed for Florida. It wasn't to many miles from Savannah to Florida. We decided to drive all the way to Daytona Beach, more today less tomorrow was our motto. Which we will explore as soon as the sun comes up.
Till next time, in Florida!

... wrote for the day. That night, Jodie prepared both the Pompano and Whiting in a marinade made from olive oil, nutmeg, lemon and onion powder. Man oh man....where do we have to sign to live here forever? I hate to say "this is the best fish I've ever eaten", but.......it may have been. Unfortunately, we have to leave tomorrow and head up the coast to Fort Clinch. We both love Fort Clinch, but neither of us have had enough of what Flagler Beach has to offer.
Flagler Beach, Florida, United States jodieandandy... At one point she was carrying him around while he laid his sleepy head on her shoulder. I didn't mind at all; it's nice to see him looking so cute from another perspective (esp. one where my arms & back aren't killing me from his sleepy weight). Tomorrow I think I'll have a beach day. I need to finish up those other presentations, but I'll burn the midnight oil tonight and get some things done. then i won't ...
