It was a very strange drive to California today. It should have been great, but for some reason I ended up wearing the crankypants, and by the time I got to the hotel I was in a very snarly mood. It eventually passed and the day ended on a very high note, though.

... However, Napa is much like any other small city, only it has some giant mansion vineyards on the outskirts. We luckily stayed in the downtown part of Napa. This seemed to satisfy both Grant and me. He loves the views, nature, vast spaces, and I love the happening, close proximity, and fun to be had. This may seem contradictory, but our hotel fit both bills.
