It was a very strange drive to California today. It should have been great, but for some reason I ended up wearing the crankypants, and by the time I got to the hotel I was in a very snarly mood. It eventually passed and the day ended on a very high note, though.

I was on the I-5 for, well I don't remember exactly but I think at least 200 miles yesterday. The highway crossed into California while going ...

... pandering, but I DO! I love the idea of a whole souvenir shop dedicated to keychains and the next to magnets! I love flashing lights and colorful signs! I love weird statues, who really have nothing to do with anything except they entice me into taking a picture with them! I love food, especially when the food has a gimmicky name or catchy tie into the local area! I don't like a whole bunch of people, and that's why the pier was ...

This wacky, new, Global Village we live in has very much expanded my friend roster. Meeting Paul L. thru a prog music geek site and remaining friends for the better part of 15 years now, changed my life. And I must say- for the better. Visiting him in Northern California and meeting his friends has truly enriched my life. Bradley and Medina, a couple of Misty's, Green Bay Packer Fan extraordinaire KellytheSinger, just to name a few, has really changed how I prioritize Cali when ...

... I was just too impatient. But by the time my patience had really run thin, I had been in and out of the camper van a few times with various food. Bread, Ham. Marsh mellows...

Turns out raccoons like marsh mellows. It also turns out to be funny to watch them eat them. Stuffing the whole marsh mellow into their tiny little mouths! After they ate all the food we left out, we chilled out in the van for a while. Where I am now. Writing. Goodnight. (Night raccoons).

An amusing tale of unfortunate events

After a terrible 2 day trip of delays and malfunctioning planes that took me through 2 time zones in three layovers I arrived in beautiful Sonoma County and crashed in a warm bed. I woke up sweating and happy, I have never woken up not shivering in Cusco so that was a wonderful feeling. (sorry if that is gross).

It was such a beautiful, sunny day so Isha and I decided to go on a bike ride. We were having ...
