It was a very strange drive to California today. It should have been great, but for some reason I ended up wearing the crankypants, and by the time I got to the hotel I was in a very snarly mood. It eventually passed and the day ended on a very high note, though.

I was on the I-5 for, well I don't remember exactly but I think at least 200 miles yesterday. The highway crossed into California while going ...

Very late start today. Enjoying relaxing a bit more in our little house before the mad sprint of the coast drive and frenetic LA.

Headed straight to V. Sattui winery for lunch. Still great food but the selection seems so small now after visiting Dean & Delucca yesterday. Lunch was still fresh and yummy and bursting with flavour. Shame their wines are not that great. I'm glad we had ...

Artesa winery was recommended by the lady at the visitor center and she said it was voted the most beautiful one in ...

This wacky, new, Global Village we live in has very much expanded my friend roster. Meeting Paul L. thru a prog music geek site and remaining friends for the better part of 15 years now, changed my life. And I must say- for the better. Visiting him in Northern California and meeting his friends has truly enriched my life. Bradley and Medina, a couple of Misty's, Green Bay Packer Fan extraordinaire KellytheSinger, just to name a few, has really changed how I prioritize Cali when ...

... place. And are we glad we did. JJ and his band were great. JJ was brilliant again, and the guitarist was amazing too. Sarah had a little sing, like JJ wanted her too as well. Even though JJ's band knew nothing Sarah knew. Eventually she just sang Natural Woman, acapella. Everyone really enjoyed it. By this point we had already met some really cool guys, whose names have escaped me. We argued about the UK and America. Which was the best. Which had the stupidest sports. We even ...
