The organiser, Tim, sat and had a drink with us for a while then had to go off and start setting up.
It was apparently just an open mic night as opposed to the jam session that we thought it would be, so we settled in to watch some music.
We had a chat with a couple there, Sarah and Craig, who were pro uke players who play all over the world.

... made it into the pool at 6pm this evening, it was a bit cold to be honest but Owen had fun! Had a little walk around and already prefer San Diego to LA, seems so peaceful and relaxed. Off to San Diego Zoo tomorrow which I'm really looking forward to, Chris asked Owen what he's hoping to see... "A pet rabbit".. I think he may come away disappointed!! Off to sleep now even though it's only 9pm... Exhausted is an understatement... Night all ...
After a week in San Diego I have seen many things such as Dolphins, Belmont Amusement Park, Sea World San Diego, The San Diego Zoo, Universal Studios and many other great places nearby. There was also some great restaurants I visited such as:

The next morning I took the awesome hike toward the Torrey Pines National Park bluffs nicely situated in the northern coastal region of the City of San Diego. To get there I took a local bus and decided to make my way down to the exact site of where I had seen the picture of the place a ...
... birds from all over the world (which I particularly enjoyed) and the usual array of "zoo animals". Having been to Africa twice and seeing so many of these animals in the wild, just breaks my heart to have to see them in cages. Although to their credit, most of the animals are in some kind of "habitat" that would match where they are from originally.
