Not the best sleep to be honest. Dad was snoring like a freight train all night, had to put the tele on to try and drown him out but got interested in watching Married with Children so got even less sleep!! Finally dozed off around 5am and my alarm went of at 7am :( Maccy's breakfast today - yay!!! ... was thankfully uneventful and ended with marvelous company of our friends Gauri and Raju (thansk!).
We had a wonderful time reminiscing, had a delicious home cooked meal and saw the most beautiful sunset over the pacifiic!
As i remind my kids, this is the first time my vacation has started a day sooner than theirs and will last as long, perhaps a day longer than theirs!

... Julia, Luke and Allie. Allie had just turned 6 the day before. Julia was into rainbow bracelets and was nice enough to make me one. Remember, I ONLY have boy grandchildren. I was thrilled!
Once we left their home, we headed to La Jolla to see the seals, but since it was a four day weekend, there wasn't a parking space to be had anywhere near, so we ended up heading home.
All in all it was a nice weekend.
... at all the animals. It was awesome. Bigger than any zoo I'd seen before. We made the 45 minute walk back to the hostel and again decided to stay in as we had an early flight tomorrow to Vegas. Woo! I woke up at 7 and got Bradden up at 7.30 and we were in a cab to the airport just after 8. When we got to the airport, we checked in and waited in a huge line to get through. ... found a recommended Mexican restaurant in the Gaslamp area which was was close to our hotel. five minutes walk later, we are eating Mexican in a lively place full of the young and the loud. The area seemed busy and lively compared to where we were in San Francisco, so it was more relaxed. Everything felt like it was in walking distance.
