      We had two friends leave the show yesterday under sad circumstances and the weight of that and the last 7 months is burdening me. I've heard from so many people that the last two months of the season are usually the hardest to get through and they weren't lying. We have our good moments (like two fantastic crowds a couple of days ago who made me feel like I could do this forever) and that's what gets us through.

      ... meant chipping in with the family business...NO slacking allowed! And years later I realized just how important it was that he instilled this work ethic in us! No wonder I ended up working in sales operations. Seeing dad selling out of his addicting homemade pies and cookies was such a joy. At 75 years old he’s doing what he loves and it’s an example to never give up on that!

      ... of fluid that had apparently been dripping on the exhaust, creating the white smoke we saw. We spent the next four hours parked on the highway until we were able to find a tow truck/service center that could come out to help us (MANY thanks to Officer Randy from the Mendota Police who spent an hour making phone calls for us in order to find a repair service and to Jeff from Seneca Towing who passed on towing us because he knew the towing service ...

      ... trip. I am so excited for how amazing this will be to see a piece of home in the middle of the trip (and perhaps for them to take some things home with them?). I also am in love with elephants, so I made sure we went on a safari that has a high probability of seeing them!
