... up some hiking gear far cheaper than I would get it for in Australia. Headed home via Whole Foods, grabbing some chicken thigh fillets for dinner and ice cream to have with the apple pie afterwards. Sarah and Maggie weren't far behind me, the rest of the evening was spent preparing dinner and attending to household chores - including cleaning the windows, packing suitcases in preparation for our departure tomorrow and unpacking the very last of the cardboard boxes from the old ...

Chatting with follow hosteler: "So, where you from?" "Saskatchewan, Canada," "Oh, I know that place, it's on the east coast where everyone speaks French right?" "Well actually no, it's right in the middle of the country. And I don't know anyone who speaks French." Chatting with one of the ladies who works at field museum: "Oh your visiting, where you from?" "A small town in Sk Canada" "Small, how small?" "Like 300 people" "What?!? Really? ...
