... shining brightly and our spirits were high. The route was very picturesque and the road was superb, full of bends as it snaked up and down the mountains.
We joined the interstate, a necessary evil when there is a need to eat up some miles, but the views were still good.
We decided to visit Pittsburgh for a late lunch, and were persuaded by an enthusiastic waitress to try a Greek ...

Our hotel had its own customer laundry so we were able to luxuriate in our room in between cycles.

... could I pass on that. I was lucky enough to spend the day in good company and attended the birthday party of a rock star. (In pure Irish fashion, it was held at a local Irish pub.) It was not like I was just there as a person in the crowd, I was an invited guest and it felt like family. What an absolutely amazing group of people.

I can only hope to remain friends with them and go out again in the future.
