... was reminded of how much people have given of themselves to advance the profession of nursing. I returned from the Headquarter's visit renewed in my purpose to get our Honor Society Chartered! And then.....well I went on to several receptions one of which included a chocolate fountain with fresh fruit.....that and a glass of wine ended my day!

... br>I will spend the next half hour getting ready for the first meeting of the House of Delegates. At 6 pm I am reporting downstairs to board a bus that will take me to the Brick Paver Celebration at the STTI headquaters. This will include a tour of Headquarters followed by several receptions back at the Marriot Hotel.

... feeling that "we are in very good place" for submitting our application in February 2010. I am proud of what we have accomplished to date.I will include pictures of the plenary session, Dr. Huston (outgoing president), and Dr. Karen Moran (incoming president).

... checking people in was Jessica Waldorf, a STTI staff member and our "guide" as the Honor Society gets ready to file the Charter Applicaton. I took a picture of Jessica so that we can relate to her a little more personally through the coming months. We plan to meet after registration is over and have a brief discussion about our Chartering process.

... on line. Since I am representing Tau Chapter (Georgetown) I am seated in the section for Region 12. Region 12's Coordinator is Anne C. Muller. I will make a point of getting to know her over the next day or so as we will need her support for our charter application. In the meantime, I have to review the 103 page Biennial Report. .....and then to bed. More tomorrow!

Good day although a bit windy. It kept me awake, most of the time... Sunny here and a balmy 10C forecast for tonight. Great WiFi connection, lots of digital channels (33) on the antenna, countless ones on cable plus the satellite (any idea why?). Time to read a bit to get comfy with my upcoming Vietnam trip. Woke up early and finished my packing for the trip. Once the kids got up, we went over to the pancake house for breakfast. Megan had a Devo look for the day.
