... LV and the like...We did think we walked a lot at Yosemite, but here, you walk miles even to get from your hotel room to breakfast! Its 4th July tomorrow, so Americans are flooding to Vegas from all directions! After quick breakfast we head for the pool! Not quite the Calvin Harris pool party (who happens to be at MGM) but the atmosphere was great, with the DJ paying some good tunes! People watching is great too, and suddenly I feel much better about myself after seeing ...
... down the strip particularly at night was amazing - just wild colours and flashing lights, loud bars, fancy cars and swish designer shops. Hoards of people seething like ants up and down the strip, wearing outfits from classy to grungy to downright fleshy. Massive billboards and sales adverts everywhere for anything and everything from spangly watches to cabaret to girls. We loved spotting iconic buildings like the Flamingo Club and Caesars Palace, we gawped at the Eiffel ...
... on the side for another $5-$7. This means a $10-$12 meal
for a family of 5 and usually we eat just over half of it, adding
something to it the next day and having 2 meals. Bargain. I do hate
to think how they can pump out chickens for sale at that price but
they taste ok and we always look for ones that are fresh out of the
oven as they are time stamped.

... had for 3 or 4 years has left the lake very low so low that apparently if it gets much lower it will stop generating power, yet they seem to be carrying on regardless using water as much as they like where as in UK if the sun shines for more than a week we have a hose pipe ban.

Went back to our room to get our hoodies (its cold in the desert at night) on our way we saw the worlds biggest chocolate fountain (displayed in the Bellagio). 10:30pm. Walked outside with the intention of watching the Bellagio fountain display and getting the bus down the strip and back.
