After a bit of map reading at Marienplatz, we figured our route to the Acanthus, about a 10 minute walk, but pretty warm.

The innkeeper, Andrea, was very nice, and said our room was ready. We went right up to #304, in an elevator that was about 36 inches square (not even a window). The room was nice and cool, with a window facing the street and some residences. The furnishings were old and not ...

We got to tour the inner workings of the stadium--the tunnel ...

The little village at the base of the castle had it's own beauty and mistique with the snow of the last two days (50 cm plus!!) The horse drawn carriages , the bavarian style chalets and hotels.. just superb..
Sadly , goodbyes were said to the "Disney Castle" Bavaria and King Ludwig II as the slower bus journey headed back to ...

... plan and wish they all did that. People could still just go to whatever rooms interested them. Wandered through town. Tried to buy shoes but didnt have my size or didnt fit the 2 I liked. Market was really busy and lots of local grouos of various types doing 20 minute or so performances - singers and/or musicians. Then to organ and trumpet concert in church A couple of the organ solos were ...
