Well today my trip to China begins. I'm very excited and eager to explore this up and coming nation. I've been packing all week and mentally and physically preparing myself for the month full of fun activities. I'm a little stressed out and nervous because this is the first time I'm traveling to a country who's culture is very different and I'm ...

Really. I drove the better part of 400 miles today pushing the Gee-Whiz over 5400 miles since LA and did not see much.
First thing I did was to head up US441 to check that whether it was really closed. I suspected that it was but the reports were conflicting and it was only a small diversion to check. It was closed.
With I40 also c...
Ligia and I will depart from New York on Dec 12th, to go to Chile, Honduras, and Malawi. We are not sure of where we'll go or what we'll do while in Chile...We'll just decide when we get there. We'll visit my sponsored child, Daniela, and her younger sister, Carolina, on December 16th. I've visited with them 3 times before (2003, 2004, and 2005)...
Raleigh, North Carolina, United States hawaii14As I peer out the window from my exit row seat, I see the Queen City bidding me adieu as the sun sets on one of the biggest travel days of my life. It is finally here. I am off to New Zealand for a month. My fascination with this country first began over 8 years ago when I heard about a small ministry site called Capernwray that was on the north...

Managed to get out of the hotel by just before 8, but after navigating Queens and Brooklyn traffic we probably lost a lot of our early start. Stopped in New Jersey at a pull-off travel centre with a food court and had Burger King for breakfast – yes, I know, how unhealthy!! Then back on the road through Baltimore (I couldn't stop singi...
Our Thursday performance was at Duke University in Durham, NC. The campus truly is beautiful, but like any school that believes more in sports and science than anything else, their theatre was falling apart. The stage was VERY old and uneven, which made building our set a bit tricky. Their Technical Director, however, toured with our company abo...

Woodland Hills, North Carolina, United States woodlandhillsThe fifth day, we trained at the largest chicken plant in the nation: Mountaire. We flew to North Carolina. The people were so nice there! They loved what they did and that made me smile. They gave us a tour of the chicken plant and I don't know what I was thinking when I agreed to do it. I thought it would be fun, but instead, I have now become...

Flyveturen
Moster Birgitte og Peter gav mig en super god afsked i lufthavnen, hvor vi drak en latte og fik en god sludder om mit forestående ophold. Turen gik smertefrit for mig. Vi fløj direkte til Washington DC, hvilket tog ca. 8 timer. Vi havde 2 timer og 15 min i transit, hvor vi skulle igennem immigration...
