Avenida San Jeronimo 1082, Col. San Jeronimo Monterrey, Northern Mexico, Mexico, 64640, 81-8389-6000
... day.

The surprising part, at least for me, was that I really enjoyed Monterrey. The city itself is interesting, and we explored several free museums and an interesting park. We also went for a nice long walk along a canal (not clear if this was a natural canal made pretty or a man-made canal). The entire length had been made into a park, where they hold concerts, yoga, have boatrides, whatever. There are also ...
Monterrey, Northern Mexico, Mexico kimandjohn... of back alley in downtown Monterrey. It has a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom with AC! All for US$10 per night! Sometimes even though we seem to be taken care of - there's just no peace. Monterrey is a BEAUTIFUL city, although very Americanized. After two more meetings were set up for this weekend, we knew we had to cancel and keep moving. It was confirmed by MANY. The people were not happy, but oh well. On to Tampico!
Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico robandmillie... on God, and worship - or even hear myself think over the lady who is still screaming to my left, the cieling starts leaking on my left arm. Soon after, Rob gets up to preach. He did an amazing job! Afterwards, we went to lunch and shopped for some food.
Monday was a planned, well needed rest day and for Tuesday, we thought we'd take the train around town to see more of it's beauty. After all, Monterrey is a ...
Monterrey, Northern Mexico, Mexico millieradosti... a boat trip around the lake in a boat belonging to Evers' friend Jimmy along with his son also called Jimmy (who also entertained us with their brilliant family band and some great rock and roll!). All in all, Monterrey as great fun, it was great to meet with a familiar face and be shown such a good time with great people. Thank you Ever, Laura and all the Garza family!
Monterrey, Northern Mexico, Mexico dixieannie... to a friend of hers who lives in Monterrey, Gabriela. As soon I arrived, I called Gabriela, who asked (almost like a mother) how I was, whether I have found an apartment, etc. and told me not to hesitate to contact her in case of emergency. She then took me around town. We had lunch and she helped me find a cell phone (no luck). Her personality was very friendly, almost flamboyant. Then, I moved into my apartment. It's ...

Monterrey, Northern Mexico, Mexico jhaddonGo morron!
Monterrey, Mexico ojve... a tip on eating mango by the way. Get your mango, ripe to softish to the touch. Wash. then squash it and knead it until the flesh is pulped (inside) - so you should now be holding a sack of mango juice and pulp, with the skin as the sack. Cut a smallish hole in the skin at the top and suck noisily and messily - delicious! Anyhow - the tacos were great - had those pretty much every lunch time. Evening meals were very often tortillas, eggs (a mix between scambled ...
