Incidentally, there is a connection between the Cisa pass and the Ferrari motor company. According to various hits on Google Enzo Ferrari started his racing career there and had a love affair with the road. It is rumoured that prototype cars were tested there by the ...

... which is home to Il Duomo, the fifth largest cathedral in the world. It is an imposing sight over its namesake Piazza del Duomo, and attracts thousands of visitors every day. The exterior is in a constant state of renovation, still going from when we were here 9 years ago. From here we strolled the short distance to Castello Sforzesco, which has been built, rebuilt, expanded & renovated since the 14th century until it was handed over to the ...

Francesco impressed us with his knowledge of the history behind all of the sites, quoting dates, people, etc. We saw the Duomo (Cathederal) that had been primarily constructed in the late 1300's and was ...

... by another outstanding building ...the Galleria Vitt Em11
We have never seen such a large scale "t" shaped , domed building, housing the best stores ,
and restaurants on all sides. Heading out of the old town and back to the hotel, we looked at
Teatro alla Scala..we missed the palace unfortunately
We ended the day with a very nice meal and a bottle of chianti....our first full bottle of wine with a meal since Zell on the Mosel.

    next stop GENOVA.
