... about 1 hour on the boat. There is residential along the shoreline and half way up the mountain most of the way around the lake, the further we get away from Como although it begins to thin out and clear townships can be seen.
Menaggio is, like all the other towns, a holiday destination and at this time of year most of the places are closed. We find somewhere to have lunch and then spend the afternoon wandering through the alleyways ...

We arrived in this beautiful city at dusk so we weren't able to get the most out of it. Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. What day is it today? We can't keep track of the days= good holiday.

We have only been away 7 days and it feels like we have been
travelling for weeks, which is great because it means we still have 5 weeks of
travelling to go. Today we got up and had a look around the town of Interlarken
again; Shane had a big decision to make....which new army knife was going to
      join his collection at ...

      Stuck in Milan

A travel blog entry by dzarren on Jul 19, 2008

... Office and the guy there was nice, even remarking on Andrew's height (the common icebreaker). He printed out a bunch of local train options and then told us that he couldn't print tickets there and we had to go back to wait in the International Tickets line, the one we had just been in. After literally another hour in line, we get up to the counter with all of our train options, only to be told that everything was either full, or at least ...
