... mind you) "Ooh there's Dumb Dumb" :) After the museum I decided to walk back to the hotel via Central Park, in order to take in the sights. Although none of the trees had any leaves due to winter, it was still very picturesque, especially around the lake. Found a cafe in the middle of a park and made time for a coffee break. I was hoping to have dinner there (it was around 6 pm at that stage) as I was going to see the Broadway show that night. However the kitchen was closed. ...

... The area of Brooklyn we were in (Brooklyn Heights) was very quiet and has definitely gone though gentrification. Beautiful timber walk ups and Brownstones, lovely shops and lots of families by the looks of it. My Xtend Barre instructor was saying that it's where those who can't afford Manhattan come to live, but it is starting to get really pricey too. I can't speak to the rest of Brooklyn, but ...

... was just way too heavy. We retreated to the subway and decided to head to Times Square for food and cinema. Times Square! Wowzers I felt like I was on a movie set! Even in the rain it was big and bright and super exciting to be there. We paid a ridiculous amount of money (I had to get used to this over the next two weeks - New York is certainly not cheap) to watch Big Hero 6, an animated Pixar film which we all loved and sniffed and dabbed our eyes with tissues at.

    The epic baggage debacle.

... exchanging names till we'd been chatting away for half and hour. Kevin Johnson met Karina Johansen. I truly did regret not giving him my business card, phone number or just my email for peats sake. So this morning I did something highly unusual... I took the initiative and called the front desk of his hotel. I recalled as much from last night and true to form he was indeed a guest there. I asked to leave a message, the clerk found my message rather amusing... Honestly so did I. ...

... that day as they had a lot to give away. It is definitely the best lottery (and one of the best shows) to enter. Thomas and I left Mum and Dad to watch the show and went for a run around Central Park. It would be a lie to say it was enjoyable because being 2pm we ran in bright sunshine and 92 degrees. It was like running in the desert.

In the evening we went for drinks at Ink 48 which Mum and Dad loved as much as we do. On ...
