... a Harley convention with some hard core heavy music playing, requiring an appreciation stop and to park up with all the other bikers along this stretch. Tho the bouncer didn't look too convinced with our bikes, not quite the scene they were looking for, ruining their hard street cred. After being moved on we found our way up to Del Ray Marina and the cycle path up past the boat yard and smokey Joe's jetty. Stopping off for a water stop at the rocks and to admire ...

It was very surreal seeing this famous sign in real life rather ...

... dumpster for 7 days and there was SO much wood, I decided to advertise FREE wood that was in the shed. In my posting, I stipulated that they would have to pull the wood out of the shed. I was not able to do it. I hit the PUBLISH key and within 5 minutes the phone rings. The voice on the other end introduces himself as "Greg" and he starts asking me all sorts of questions about the wood. What species is this wood? Species? What the frig I thought. ...

... highways! I had not realised the spread of this place was so big it was overwhelming at first. Following the sat nav on our phones we made our way to pier 33 where we were to catch our ferry to Alcatraz! I was VERY excited to see what San Francisco had to offer as it has been a place I have wanted to visit for a long time. I will write more in my next blog as we had 5 days there and this blog has proved to be quite long. Our journey up the Route 1 I think has been eye opening and also ...
