... very high, and takes about 30 minutes, upto the giant buddah statue. Again, the clouds got in the way of some great photo opportunities of hong kong, but luckily not so bad this time so did get a few half decent ones, but some were spoiled by the raindrops on the window. Got to the top to see the giant buddah, and made the mistake of buying the ticket including 2 "shows", one a cartoon of 3 monkeys after a golden apple, and one the story of buddah. Again ...

Shenzhen, Guangdong, China eobd33Your author sincerely apologizes for the delay in writing, but she ensures me it was all for a good reason. The past few months in Hong Kong have been a great learning experience and full of new discoveries: new friends, new strange cuisines, new words (I can finally tell the cabbies where I live!), and new ways of going about your business. I'm pleased to report that I'll soon officially join the ranks of working Hong Kong denizens, working full ...
Hong Kong, Hong Kong bgoode98... paternity test. A picture of Tom and Sarah yielded a 41% likelihood that they are related, while a picture of Sarah and myself got a "1% - not related at all" message....Hmmm?!? Tracy and I clearly need to have a talk... Our time in Bangkok was not all fun and laughs however. We had a few days of serious sightseeing that included visiting the longest (but not the biggest) reclining Buddha, which elicited a "Dude, you're one big Buddha" comment from ...
Hong Kong, China elopfamily... sat all alone at a table on this huge empty ballroom floor - I was cracking myself up. After dinner I made my way up to the top deck where I was looking forward to seeing the famous laser show that I had heard so much about "the Symphony of Lights" (http://www.discoverhongkong.com/eng/ev ents/harbour-light-show.html), and the reason for booking this tour. Well, I don't know if it was the smoggy ...

... the infamous, Chungkin Mansions, and decided to try our luck in the morning. After dinner and a drink we headed back to our claustrophobic hostel. The next morning, we headed back to Chungkin, where our first choice was not available, but luckily a few floors down we found something a little more comfortable and definitely more roomy. After settling in we took a ferry to Wan Chai and took a walk up to Victoria Park and through the Causeway ...

You do not even need to ...
Hong Kong, China happysheep... of smoking incense (or were they giant mozzie coils??) hanging from the ceiling in this temple. Quite interesting to look at but the smoke soon gets to you, plus playing dodge the embers is a bit tricky. After this I tried to find the Western Market as ...
