Next stop was Foxen Canyon Winery….I’d read this place was a favorite on the wine tasting circuit. We checked out the tasting menu and knew right away we wouldn’t be purchasing any wines here…the cheapest bottle was $50 and it went up from there. Nope, we’re not wine snobs, we want the best tasting wine at the lowest prices we can find! On down the road….

Checking out of The Magic Castle Hotel was a little sad, as it is such a great place to stay and the staff are excellent. Gary could not wait to get out of LA, he was not really liking the city at all. We hit the road towards Malibu with the sun shining, detouring via Beverley Hills. ... So we made it just to the city limit of Malibu before we stopped for the night (after dark) and pitched our tent. Our Thanksgiving dinner consisted of left overs from Carpinteria. I think we managed some mixed nuts, a few crisps, some wine (of course) and a bit of chocolate! I was hoping that some of the other campers would take pity on us and feed us but they didn’t! Next stop: LA in our sleeping gear!
