... it was feeding time. This zoo included a water slide which was a huge attraction. We chose not to stand in the long lines just to slide down the slide into the water below. It would have cooled us off but you know how it is waiting in long lines!
We have been impressed at how neat and clean everything is in the areas we've visited. Lots of pretty flowers and well tended lawns - even in poorer areas.

Hocking Hills is near Logan, Ohio. The trip from Peoria to this area was flat and straight across the state. Arriving on the edge of Wayne National Forest I stopped at a Visitors center and picked up a map of the are. This is an amazing area with a wonderful story. The trail between Ash Cave and Old Man's cave is called the Grandma Gatewood Trail. She was quite the gal.
... ages come and gone. Each were beautiful, and each had a beautiful waterfall to match: Rockhouse, Old Man's Cave, and Ash's Cave. The latter two were really spectacular with their dome-like formation, with waterfalls and prestine swimming areas (when the water warms up!). Pics ...
